Esplendorco, which operates DialoChat, is committed to protecting personal data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the UK GDPR, and applicable U.S. state privacy laws. This page identifies our Data Protection Officer (DPO) function, its responsibilities, how to get in touch, and your right to lodge a complaint. It complements our Privacy Policy and Data Deletion Instructions.
1. Our Data Protection Officer
We have designated a Data Protection Officer function responsible for overseeing how we collect, use, store, and share personal data and for monitoring our compliance with data-protection laws. We identify this contact by role rather than by an individual name, so you always reach the person currently responsible.

2. Responsibilities of the DPO
Consistent with Article 39 of the GDPR, the responsibilities of our DPO include:
- Informing and advising us and our staff about our data-protection obligations.
- Monitoring compliance with data-protection laws and our internal policies, including awareness and training.
- Providing advice on data protection impact assessments (DPIAs) where requested.
- Cooperating with the competent supervisory authority and acting as its point of contact.
- Acting as the contact point for data subjects on questions about the processing of their personal data and their rights.
3. When to contact the DPO
- To ask how we process your personal data.
- To exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, or portability.
- To raise a concern or report a suspected data-protection or security issue.
- For questions about data processed through the WhatsApp Business Platform or Meta Platforms.
4. Why the GDPR applies to us
Although Esplendorco is established in El Salvador, the GDPR applies to the processing of personal data of individuals located in the European Economic Area (EEA) where it relates to offering services to them or monitoring their behavior (Article 3 GDPR). In those cases we apply the safeguards described in our Privacy Policy, including a lawful basis for processing, data-subject rights, and appropriate transfer mechanisms.

We encourage you to contact the DPO first. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority:
